Warhol's Vision of Holi !

An over the top stretch of colors and exposure to give it a pop art grungy grainy psychedelic kitsch effect to suit the Warhol look and feel. You have seen the normal version earlier, so it is your choice to comment or not.

A beautiful diva of Holi perfects her V salute adorned in bling galore on her arm and hot sporting butterfly pink glasses and a loosely rolled cigarette stuck unceremoniously in her mouth. Visions of Andy Warhol may be racing through your mind but nah this is no such thing. This is infinitely more traditional and real life.

Wedenesday March 11 was Holi in India and color is the theme of the celebration. Goa had some too. I saw more foreigners adorned with colors then the local populace.

Anjuna Beach has a market that is run on a Wednesday. It was a genuine flea market once but now is over crowded by Indian peddlars of kitschy junk priced exorbitantly high.

Shot at Looda's Cafe where the food is (not) the issue but the music is divine. !
I heard for the very first time Cliff D' Souza sing and it was his voice that drew me into this restaurant located at the Anjuna beach. In the last 30 plus years I have not heard a voice so supremely wonderful and full of character. Shades of Billie Holiday and Leonard Cohen rolled into one.

Yeah next wednesday I will be there to see what else he can sing !

Peace !
